| [General] UPS delivery
I pre-order 2 copy of Windows 7 from Newegg but on different days. They get shipped out on the 22 of Oct with different tracking numbers. This mourning I check UPS tracking and they are on the truck for deliverery. I had to got to a appointment this mourning. When got back one was on my porch. It was delivered at 9:30 am. Here it is 4:15pm and the second one is still not delivered.
The first one I am going to sell so I can not install it now. Looks like they put them on 2 trucks or they did not delivered the second one. It is still reading out for delivery.

clubs: | For me it was the time time it has happen. I just got done calling them and that what happen. Usually Ups is here around noon but the first was here at 9:30.

UPS says it is awaiting package from Newegg. It looks like its lost inbetwee Newegg & UPS.
Meanwhile, Newegg already billed my credit card. grrrrrr |

| That's not good. Did you check the tracking to see if there is a reason it wasn't delivered? Twice, I've seen something to the effect of "situation beyond UPS control" (road work).
I've seen the same sort of thing with Fed-X gnd, ordered a shop press which was shipped in 3 boxes. 1 went to a location about 8 miles away to be delivered, the other 2 went to a location about 30 miles away. The first arrived about 8:30a, the last two didn't make it until about 3:00p. |

I was expecting a scanner today.
UPS said it was out for delivery.
Truck pulled up--driver stumbles around in the back of the truck- no scanner.
Same thing happened to another package on Friday. That package arrived today.

I waited for parcel via UPS yesterday. Their tracking site indicated "out for delivery". Never came. This morning their tracking site indicated "The receiver was unavailable to sign on the 1st delivery attempt. A 2nd delivery attempt will be made."
What a bunch of BS. The only reason I was unavailable to sign was because no driver came to my door. So far today, nothing.
This is not the first time UPS has badly let me down...

UPS will show it waiting from Newegg until UPS does the pickup scan. The pickup scan may not be done when the package leaves Newegg on the truck. The first pickup scan may be done after the package has arrived at the first sort facility.
In any case, almost all companies bill your credit card when it has been shipped. 'Shipped' means that the package is on a truck and pulled away from the dock. In your case when you checked the status, the package was on the truck pulled away from the dock not yet scanned by UPS.

I finally got it this morning. This is the first time that I remember that UPS has messed up like this. During the Christmas holiday they rescheduled a package. I can understand that it gets rough during the holidays. With this shipment they delivered one but not the other one. Oh well I got it and got it installed on computer.

An update on my problem: my package was delivered to my neighbor's place this evening (UPS mistake)  . But, anyway, I did get the package thanks to an honest neighbor.
