Pantec UM 150 Firmware Upgrade Problem

bigdawwg posted : I have been using the UM 150 USB Modem for nearly 2 years. In this time I have never received a firmware upgrade until 2 days ago. I was upgrading to the newest VZAccess Manager when a box popped up and asked me to upgrade to the newest firmware. I got the upgrade and thought everything was alright. Later I found out that my UM 150 would not connect when I plugged it in to my Cradlepoint MBR 1000 Router. I found the solution by talking to a Tech Support person from Cradlepoint. If anyone has the same problem; Login to your router, "Click on Basic", "Click on Wan"
Where it says "Cellular Modem PPP Authentication (optional)"
Click the drop down box next to Modem Interface and select "USB1"
Next to User Name: type "10_digit_aircard#"@vzw3g.com
Next to Password: type vzw
Next to Verify Password: type vzw
Click on Save Settings. It it says Reboot Now - Choose yes
After the router reboots exit out. This worked for me. I thought I would share it with you all.
--
Verizon EV-DO 5 Gig Plan | HN7000s Pro+ v 5.6.1.19 | G11 Freq 1410 Horizontal | Clients - P4 3.4 | 2.5 gigs Ram | Gateway AMD Turion 64 x2 1.6 Laptop |
