Now, as for this new Droid phone, its a tiny bit faster then the iPhone.
THe resolution is better then the iPhone.
And best of all, by next year support will come out for it for FLASH!!!!!!!!!
EDIT Price change!!!!Correction |

Unfortunately, this seems to be the story no matter WHAT phone and network we're discussing - certainly not a fault with the Droid... -- 3500/512 5.7 GHz Motorola Canopy Wireless; FoxValley.net 'It looks just like a Telefunken U47 !' |

I wonder if I could transfer my $15/month service to an unlocked smart phone like the android and save $180/year. |

I would expect them to insist on the $30 data plan if I buy a phone at their store, but if I buy it somewhere else, then call VZ to have the service transferred, I wonder if the rep or the system would recognize the numbers that are on the battery as indicating an android phone, or if the rep would bother to check the data plan at all.

That's not allowed either. Once the ESN is entered the system will inform them that there isn't a data plan. I tried that one already. I had access to a Samsung Omnia that I wanted to use, and they wouldn't let me without the data plan. All these phone companies are doing this and it's lame. |

 | Darn. Thanks for letting me know. So much for that idea. |

 | reply to imrf even more lame is a 3 year old BB that I paid retail for that I want to use on VZ for texting. They tell me RIM requires a data plan. Not true since I can got a Tmobile BB with no data plan. I wnat cheaper plan, not a subsidy! |
