Auto signal setup never works for me in Media Center (never shows any signal My tuner card manufacture claims it is a Microsoft issue). For OTA, I always do the manual signal setup (MCE loads a list of channels based on your zip code from zap2it and then I disable the ones I don't want).
I don't have Windows 7 yet, so I don't know if it will load a list of channels for your area based on ZIP code for your cable provider's clear QAM.
