Re: [Cable TV] Media Center/TiVo problems yeah i know. my computer science class this semester is a class in VB6 (yes i know how old that is, it won't even run on win 7 natively, i have to use xp mode). I haven't had to do anything with hardware since we built our desktop hackintosh. Full time school and full time work and all kinds of all-nighters are really starting to have an effect on me.
Take the TiVo remote for example. Logic says that the LiquidTV installer would have installed the remote drivers for me automatically. HELL NO! I searched for hours online looking for these damn things and they were simply inside a folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\LiquidTV\Drivers)! Oh I was so mad when I found that out. Even after all this, I'm still considering a MCE setup down in our family room and ditching the crappy Pace DVR we're paying mediacom $20 a month for right now |
