Re: Is 80C too high for 920 D0?

In my experience with the i7 D0's, the heat really comes into play once you go over the 4 GHz threshold, and the voltage seems to make little difference. I have mine at 4.2 @ 1.28 volts on water and I have seen it hit 72C while loading with LinX. Your temps could use to be a bit lower, what kind of water cooling system do you have?

Custom hodge podge of Danger Den D5 pump, BlackIce triple dual pass Radiator with 6 120mm Scythe fans (Push-Pull Config), and apogee TDX (I think) water block.
Honestly, it howevers around 38C Idle with room temp of 22C and it spikes to 65C when running multi-core game like Champions Online for about 3 hours.
With IntelBurnTest V2 on brutal for 3 hours it gets to 79C, all with HyperThreading on and currently at around 4.32Ghz.
It hasn't crashed any game yet so I am peachy with that, that's all I wanted.
In the end if the PC doesn't crash then who cares about the temps.
