Bink posted : 1492, or lower, is the only correct value for a PPPoE connection. If anything other than this is being used, it’s only because PMTUD is saving you—and because foolish administrators do things that tend to break PMTUD, PMTUD cannot be relied upon.

sevenalive posted : If anyone still has this issue, i solved it by setting the MTU setting in my router to 1492, the default is 1500, but qwest dsl runs 1492. After than, it runs fine for the most part, at least i can access all sites now.

anon posted : I'm having the same problems but there seems to be a specific window of time ( 6pm - 10PM) where connectivity goes to zero. I'm runninga constant ping with 96 to 150ms response then it jumps to 2500 to 3100ms then it goes dead. The tech is sending a new router. I'm not sure what that will do to help. If not then i'm running back to comcast

anon posted : I'm having this same issue! microsoft.com, msn.com, myspace.com, newegg.com, cnet.com, few other random websites as well. I've tried from multiple devices as well, including a brand new G1. No such luck.

Strange enough, some of the sites will ping back and traceroute as fine but still refuse to load, while others just completely time out.

I had a talktoqwest agent call me, and he had no idea whats going on. He even said a tech wouldn't help either. So WTF am i paying for internet that isn't working correctly.

I can't access adobe.com, xbox.com, opendns.com, microsoft.com and various random websites.
