You're lucky. I get a FIOS mailing about 3 times a week. I used to get phone calls about every 4 days. I finally answered one and asked if they could beat Comcast's price...silence.

I did get a chuckle from the script-reading lady when she told me that I could get my data at the speed of light. My response was, "ooo, speed of light" The phone calls ended then, but they've probably spent $10 or $20 mailing me stuff I haven't opened.

Verizon hasn't given me a reason to change from Comcast yet. A reduced price (not a teaser rate) would make me think a lot harder about switching.
