1, Older program shows problems& will fix them automatically,

2010 tunesup list them id you want to see thenm, then ask permission to fix them

2, Defrag on older program is defrag,(zip bam,boom,done)

2010 if you click on this you ca figure 1/2 hour plus that this program is going to take, looks like some "'comestic changes, but thats about it.

Set up the automatic maintenance schedule for any time you like. See screeny! Then, go into Windows task scheduler, and simply disable the scheduled task. Even after doing this, the green check mark remains in Tuneup. I even tried it out, and no automatic maintenance was run at the scheduled time. I even rebooted, and the green check mark remained.

Actually they do have a manual maintenance only. But, tuneup likes to warn you in a few places that it's on manual, and should be set to automatic.

Or set it up for max # of days, then manually change it 2 weeks later. You still will have the nice green checkmark! ;)

I actually like this version better than 2009. I have been able to turn off everything that I needed to for meeting my needs. TU 2009 drove me crazy with it's 1 click maintenance module. I remember when I installed it the first time, I wanted to image my drive before running any of the tools. All of a sudden I see the little balloon pop up that said 300 problems had been fixed. I'm like HEY STOP THAT!!

Tuneup 2010 seems more laid back in this regard. After installing it, I went right in and set the automatic maintenance for 2:15 AM. I also took the check mark out of "Enforce maintenance one week after this period if the computer was not idle long enough". I will most likely never have my PC on at 2:15 in the morning, so 1 click should never happen.

I use both. CCleaner for getting rid of junk files, and Tuneup for everything else. I prefer the reg cleaner in Tuneup over the mild/mellow reg cleaner in CCleaner. Tuneup is much more advanced in what it can do compared to CCleaner.

I've tried a few of the "modules", and no issues so far. It seems TuneUp never releases any version until it's been thoroughly tested. I've had 4 or 5 TuneUps over the years, and they've all worked flawlessly... Still my favorite registry cleaner... Not a single issue caused by using it in over 5 years!
