The numbers dont necessarily indicate which provider has more customers, but they do serve as a measure of each companys success in the market.
Verizon, however, will soon leave the Fort Wayne market. Frontier Communications Corp., a telecommunications company that specializes in serving rural markets and small cities, is acquiring about 4.8 million Verizon phone lines for $5.3 billion in stock. The deal, which includes Fort Waynes FiOS television service, is expected to close in less than a year. Verizon is abandoning the market and selling to Frontier. -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. | Yes, good point here.
Jameshaley .. What, if anything,is Verizon/Frontier telling Ft. Wayne FiOS customers about this transfer to Frontier?? Verizon/Frontier is making a mistake, if they don't communicate with FiOS customers in Indiana/Oregon/Washington .
If I were Comcast, I would be targeting known FiOS users/neighborhoods, and prey on their fear.
Verizon FiOS should be using commission salespeople door-to-door, direct mail, any kind of direct contact. Sounds to be that they are wasting their $ on mass marketing. |
