I plan on making the external a internal hard drive. I couldn't find any security Hex on their site.
Back when I bought mine, Wiha said they were the only shop authorized to sell them. I don't know if that is true, but I couldn't find them anywhere else. I think I even had to fax in paperwork stating I owned a repair shop, as they refused to sell this particular bit to the public. (I don't see any reference to that on their page now though)

The only time I've run into the security hex has been on Seagate externals. Its probably the security screw anyway. Recently in this same forum, I was discussing my dislike for external drive manufacturers that follow the practice of having to buy special tools or require the end user to rip apart the enclosure to get to the drive.

If it's a Torix, you should be able to find the appropriate bit at a local Auto Parts store (GM uses a lot of Torix screws)... ;)
