<description><![CDATA[chemie posted : SPI was off.<br><br>But I was STUPD STUPID STUPID<br><br>I used to have 3mbps/256kbps service (Did I mention how much I love charter) so QOS was set to 256.<br><br>I am surprised that QOS thottles when only one PC is connected but is seems this setting is a hard cap regardless of what you have or are using.  This setting caps you at the number regardless.<br><br>So when I changed to 1200kbps, everything works.  I did not want to put 1000 because it "sensed" 1120 but if I put it too high, QOS will not do anything.<br><br>STUPID me and STUPID QOS.<br><br>As an aside, I bought the stupid DIR-655 because I needed QOS for VOIP since I only had 256 available. <br><br>I guess I should be glad charter has finally upgraded to a decent upload speed (are they out of bankrupcy yet??).]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[chemie posted : I have cable modem with 5mbps down and 1 mbps upload service.<br><br>When I plug PC directly to modem, I get this speed.<br><br>When I connect via DIR-655, download is stil 5mbps but upload is capped at 256 kbps.<br><br>A second PC on different LAN connection to the router has same problem.  However, PC-PC transfers are the gigabyte speed (no upload cap LAN to LAN).<br><br>This tells me the WAN is capped but I have no idea why this would be the case.<br><br>I am on FW1.11<br><br>Thoughts?  Help!]]></description>
