Number assignment is more complicated now, because the North American Number Plan Administration issues telephone numbers to telephone companies in blocks of One Thousand Numbers. They use to issue numbers in blocks of Ten Thousand Numbers. It may be a new block of numbers assigned to MJ and Cingular hasn't updated their system yet.

What you describe used to happen frequently when MJ got a new area code that a lot of people were waiting for. They'd jump at the opportunity to change their number (or buy MJ) and then have a lot of problems for 4-8 weeks where people couldn't call them.

I think the suggestion was for the telco customer to call the company and report the problem, or just wait until the telco got around to updating their system.

i can call out and call any number from my MJ
but when people with cingular numbers try to call me back

they will get a THIS CALL cannot be complete as dial

they try 1, they try the area code , they try 1 and the area code and still the same message

but i have no issues calling there cingular number from my MJ anyone idea whats going on
