| [General] Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 Question
Hello Guys/Gals
I have a few quick questions...
My 1st question is when I flash my Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 I use the file Tomato.trx .. is this the right file to be using? I already have Tomato firmware installed so I'm just updating.
My 2nd question is, and this is just a making sure question ..
When updating the firmware from say 1.23 to 1.25 will the 1.25 firmware hold all the updates from 1.24 or do I have to install them incrementally?
Thank you Todd |

1 edit | trx is the right file.
Everyone advises a full NVRAM dump and reconfigure upon upgrade as some settings may create a conflict in new firmware. I have seen the difference in how reliability of the router improves after NVRAM dump. Of course that means you have to manually reconfigure. -- My grandkids ARE cuter than yours! |

How do I go about doing this NVram dump on my buffalo?
and also, I'm still a little fuzzy on when i get an update the latest update contains all updates from the previous updates right?
For instance, if I update to 1.25 then wait like say 1 yr and fins that the updates are up to 2.0 should I update using each update or will the 2.0 update contain all updated information from the past updates ?
sorry if that's confusing haha |

This page in the router.
It is recommended that you do the full NVRAM reset with each update. -- My grandkids ARE cuter than yours! |
