shabra9 posted : I'm sorry if I sound out of line. If that is a normal turn around time for cable tv repair then that is the norm. It is frustrating that the service time is that long. I will file that information and hopefully there will not be another time that I need service. Thanks all for your responses.

shabra9 posted : I repair jukeboxes and video game machines all over central Ohio. We service all machines within 24 hours. If they cannot be repaired they are replaced. In my business a 5 day waiting time for a repairman to show up would mean a lost of that customer. Would you wait in the winter for a furnace man to show up in 5 days ? I realize that a HDTV receiver is not as important as a broken furnace or waterline, but 5 days is way to much. A 48 hour timeline would be acceptable.

I'm sorry I just don't see how 5 days is really terrible. You could take it in to the local center if you want it faster. :hmm:

shabra9 posted : My Explorer 4250 unit broke down late Friday (10/30/2009). After going to the normal reset and reboot with WOW service, they told me that they would have to send out a technician. They then told me that it would be Wednesday (11/4/2009) before one could get to my house.
I have been with WOW for 5 years and have had no problems with them.
