|  Auto-syncing clocks...
To all of you who have auto-syncing clocks / watches...
I have one of those Oregon Scientific clocks that syncs to accurate time via radio waves. I was wondering if anyone can tell me the technology behind how this works - are there radio towers nearby, or does it sync via one transmitter & use shortwave to bounce off the ionosphere?
Anyway, in central Maryland, my clock hasn't been sync'ed in about 3 weeks, and it normally never misses a beat. --No major change / microwave ovens / computer wireless... Does anyone know why this signal in central MD may have vanished 3 weeks ago?
I reset the clock, and have it sitting in my attic! --(as high up as I can go) to catch a weak signal... |
