Matt posted : Just got back from the Verizon store ... which was PACKED. Everyone was crowded around the Droid Eris (a pretty good phone too) and the Droid. They had 4 Droids out and 3 Droid Eris' out and people were still waiting to play with them.

I finally got a chance and man, it is a bad ass phone. Fast, responsive touch screen, YouTube worked directly from the browser, it looks a lot more "industrial" as my GF put it, but I like that. And did I mention it was FAST? I haven't played with a 3GS but there is simply no comparison between my 3G and the Droid. You flip the device and the screen instantly flips. Slide the screen to reveal the keyboard and bam, the screen flips. Animations and transitions are instantaneous. The only gripe I could find was scrolling a full webpage quickly is still jerky like most other mobile phones.

I even performed a simple webpage load test (dslreports.com) and the Droid handily beat my 3G ... both over 3G with full bars.

The only thing I couldn't play with was the email (Exchange) side of the house. Has anyone been able to find a review of the Droid running Exchange email?
--
trafficcloak.com - pptp/sstp vpn services
