Infinity Ward has seen to break it for PC players by not having dedicated servers nor modding tools.

at least until the repair the PC version.
PS, the airport scene is insane.. so much so that they added a skip option.. still.. what were they thinking..
IMO, what would have been the best game released in awhile, is now low-end, console kiddie-fodder.

Boo hoo to public. Its a game its rated "M" for mature you buy it for your kid under 17 you have to accept whats in a game that is rated "M" The stupidity of parents today blow my mind they want to cry about mature content in a mature game that they buy for their young kids. After all it is a game.
I can't wait till it comes out and have it pre-ordered.

Infinity Ward doesn't care about PC gamers, because very few people actually purchased Modern Warfare 1. Go check the sales on PC vs console, it's a big difference. |

They were afraid this game would be so dominant in the game market, that they wouldn't get the holiday sales boost.
Of course, that may be an excuse, but if you look at the number of releases scheduled, it's pretty slim compared to previous years. |

Console users are getting a watered down COD:MW2 as well. Only roughly 6 hours of the Single Player campaign, and the PS3 version has had their Hardcore setting removed or something like that for online play.
PS3 users are in an uproar and are boycotting the game as well. Their is something going on with the 360 version as well, it is being pirated like no other!
I just don't see how people can blindly support such a crappy developer. I mean... the COD series started out on the PC with dedicated servers and mod tools. PC gamers made what COD is today by supporting the game and loving it. Then IW/Activision screws over the PS3 and PC users.
Especially the PC users with no dedicated server support and no mod tools. The game will run on IWNet Matchmaking service which you connect, find a "playlist" or whatever that crap is, a host is decided upon by IWNet and everyone connects to him, P2P. If that host drops a new host is migrated to. Lag fest anyone...
Add to the fact it only supports up to 16 players max.. what the hell, 2 steps back?
IW just screwed the pooch on this title big time. Wow, I get to slaughter a bunch of civilians in an airport or the option to skip the level. 6 hours of SP for $60, crap multiplayer on a matchmaking service and only 16 players MP... I guess the sheep will support this game.
Just really irks me what they have done to the COD series. Was great up till now. Same crap happened to the Rainbow Six series when that abortion Vegas came out. |
