Im like wow relax im just trying to play this game and they all jumped on me. I wanted to curse back but my 3yr old and newborn where in the room and wife gave me the only look.
im 31yr old I have black, white and a few asian as well as latino friend so this whole race card pisses me off.
So I hope Microsoft changes that and lets us party chat once again

Yeah some of my friends don't like ground war because the game becomes more of a frag fest then it already is on other modes. Personally it doesn't bother me, but I understand where he is coming from.

It's just been my opinion that when I play PC games online I see more hacking, more glitchers and a more closed community in terms of being a little closed to new people.
I play on botch PC and Xbox live and find the Live crowd to be more open to people, however, there are more little annoying, swearing, racist 12 year olds than you can swing an AC-130 at! That's one of the perils of everyone having a headset, but in general it's better than everyone having to type if you ask me.

About the mouse/keyboard thing, I like it the way it is. They console is meant to be used with a controller. By letting people use a mouse/keyboard in game it would give people an unfair advantage over the rest. If mouse/keyboard were allowed it would be an unwritten requirement because if you didn't use one, you wouldn't be able to compete.

It takes some getting used to if you move from a mouse/keyboard immediately to a controller. You get used to it though, everyone else is using the same controller so there's no disadvantage to you.

I played through the (thankfully) short campaign on my PS3 and I have no idea how folks can play non-corridor FPS games and have fun using gamepads.

MW2 and it's spawning swarming enemies was an exercise in frustration for me, even with the sensitivity jacked up. Often times I'd be getting hit from behind and die before I could swing around to fire back. Panning/scanning with iron sights was horrendously slow and the FoV seemed more like 4:3 than 16:9. The best strategy seemed to be sprint to the checkpoint and let the AI kill each other.

Multiplayer was just as bad except at least I could tell the folks I was fighting were having as hard a time as I was maneuvering their dudes with the PS3 controller.

Jesus, I can plug my mice and kb into the PS3...why TF can't we have mouse/keyboard in games?

The most pointless "feature" in the game.

You end up listening to a bunch of 12 year olds talk about what happened in school today or some other such nonsense (I can only tolerate being called "nigger" and "jew" so many times) and end up getting so fed up you just resort to muting everyone who isn't in your party, which is the exact same thing party chat does in the first place. All IW ended up doing is making it slightly more difficult and annoying to use a feature Xbox Live allows in the first place (and pissing people off in the process).

Funny thing is I have run across several Dragunov sniper rifles in the campaign, check the mp sniper list, nope not unlockable. Makes me a bit mad that they brought back my second favorite sniper only to not give access to it.

Yeah, Veteran is definitely easier in Modern Warfare 2. I just picked up the game yesterday and completed Veteran. Usually it would take me a lot longer than that to complete a games hardest difficultly. Not only was there not unlimited AI, but it was easy just to rush from checkpoint to checkpoint. The thing I like about this years multiplayer is the perks at the beginning aren't as good. It's a lot harder to manage at the bigger and forces you to be better. They don't give you the best guns and making classes is still limited severely compared to the beginning of MW1.

Oh yeah, the accolades are a joke. Me and my buddies were joking about how they're just there to make you feel good after a bad round. Help life your spirits by giving you useless awards. ;)
