What would be wrong with Netflix on existing Wii's?

Ok, so the Wii can go 480p max.

What would be wrong with allowing SD streaming of netflix on the existing Wii systems and upconverting to 480p if you want?

I have an HDTV, have the Wii set up at 480p...ok, so it's not HD, but it's good enough, especially since people already have the existing system.
