Naa the umps are part of the game. Keep it the way it is. |

Ok give each manager rocket launchers and then put the umps in the booth |

1 edit | reply to Mats said by Mats :Yes it would suck but I really dont think you want balls/strikes being able to be challenged. The last inning of a close game would have every pitch being challenged. Yeah, I don't know what a good solution is...especially for balls and strikes...if they did implement some sort of challenge then I would like to see it like they do in football...you only get a few challengers and if your wrong for challenging you pay a penalty for your challenge request/interruption of the game. |

| reply to Fobulous said by Fobulous :yes they should do it.. i don't follow baseball that much but i do watch the playoffs . i noticed the both TBS and FOX have their own version of strike box.. and quiet a few times the umpire would get the wrong call.. a ball that was clearly in the strike zone..do you think they can review this and complain to the officials later? Sometimes a strike really changes the game.. How about this regarding balls and strikes?....Each manager will be given a maximum of 5 challenges per game for a ball or strike call and if a manager challenges and is wrong the batter is automatically OUT regardless of the count. Let the strike box thing you mentioned TV uses to determine if the pitch was a ball or a strike. |

| reply to sailor Exactly. They get a certain amount. Again, most challenges would probably take less 2 minutes to deal with.
Also, coaches wouldn't be challenging every ball/strike as it would annoy EVERYONE and I doubt they would get anywhere challenging a computer |

| reply to jwersan What about all the time outs these teams play? There was one game in this series where the Yankee's catcher went up to talk to the pitcher before every pitch. I understand the need for communication but there needs to be a limit. -- tight lines and screaming reels |
