If AT&T did upgrade you, you most likely would suffer from periodic sync losses and/or high CRC error rates which would cut your throughputs to well below the ~5000 kbps a good line would have.<br><br>A successful upgrade needs a maxrate of better than 10% higher than the new speed.  The greater the percentage the maxrate exceeds the new speed, the less the chances that you will be posting in Direct with problems.]]></description>
