California

What areas in CA? The northern half of our rural county of Mendocino is served by Verizon (formerly GTE, formerly Contel of CA).

Re: California

SoCal, inland empire (most of Riverside County and S.B. County) is served by Vz. Fios is deployed there currently...

have no idea why Wz would want to get rid of the millions of customers in Ca. It sounds like they just want to be an East coast company, frankly...

Yep, I know, I was born and raised in GTE Country (East San Gabriel Valley). Humboldt and Trinity Counties here in NorCal also have some Verizon (formerly GTE, formerly Contel of CA) served areas. The Verizon areas up here don't even have DSL, and in Mendocino County AT&T only has DSL in Ukiah, Willits and Fort Bragg, we don't have it with AT&T out here (Redwood Valley, about halfway between Ukiah and Willits), though we do have Comcast HSI.

They aren't.

"...the transaction will include a small number of Verizon's exchanges in California, including those bordering Arizona, Nevada and Oregon."

The question is, which ones? I want to know what ones in NorCal are included.
