After re-reading my post, I don't think I was clear, that I schedule the FDM task --- to Stop all Downloads --- to run EVERYDAY, even if I am not downloading. That way I can always be assured that when I do download, the stop downloads task will run and save me from being FAPPED.

Funny enough I have noticed a throttle or reduced speed lately at these hours and then at 7 am BANG! its faster which of coarse does me no favors when trying to monitor the Download and the stupid thing changes gears without you knowing.LOL

Tweak, I use FDM and had the same problem until I scheduled a "STOP all downloads" task to run EVERY morning at the end of the FapFree window. No more problems after that.

Go to the Scheduler tab, click the Blue "add task" button on the upper left, select "launch program" down arrow, select "stop all downloads", click the "Start time" tab, set the FapFree end time, and then select to run "Every 1 days".

That should do it for you. No more FAP due to forgetting to stop downloads.

Anyway I could not get to the token site this time.....it would not even load.However Yahoo and Hughesnets main sites would load.
I called in they cashed me another token and I was back in business.However I did tell him to make a note that they needed to fix the Token site because at times of FAP we cannot get the pages to load.

At the bottom of description... their was statement that real time is only going to be for HN9000 only. Well it looks like they remove that statement so its possible they going to do this to all modems.

It still show up on the FAQ that their be a new software and modem upgrade soon.

Looks like DW6000, HN7000S and HN9000 is going to have real-time usage. I remember first reading it. it was going to be only for HN9000. YAY! that means I don't have to bitch and get another modem.

Let's face it, they have limited bandwidth available, and if people are allowed to take themselves off of FAP via the token system, then it's kind of defeating the purpose of having the FAP in the first place. . .

I understand that you can exceed the threshold by accident - I've done it a couple of times myself. But the "get out of jail" token I fear could be exploited unless there's a limit as to how often you can purchase and use a token during the month. . .

First about some of the confusion about these tokens.

Consider it a "Get out of jail" card.

You get one a month,for FREE.
They cost on a HN9000,$7.50 each for anything over the FREE one.So if you FAP yourself twice in a month,once is FREE.The other costs you $$$.Unless of coarse you wait 24 hours.

All this does is RESET your account/bucket back to empty.
It does NOT make your bucket bigger for a while so you can have a 600 mb bucket rather then a 300 mb one.

These tokens do NOT carry over to the next month.
Example-I have not been FAPPED for 3 months,I do NOT have 3 FREE tokens.I have one (1).They do NOT stack.

With that said,I just FAPPED out by accident.
I tried to use my token for this month,since I finally got invited to the "Beta" program.
For some reason when I COPIED and PASTED my SAN # it would say it was invalid.I COPIED and PASTED the SAN # straight from the »192.168.0.1/stlui/user/index.html from the ST Name area.

I tried HNSDSSXXXXXXX and DSSXXXXXXX....
Still would not take it,said it was not Valid.
So I called support,she suggested maybe for me to try TYPING it in there and see if that would work.
It Worked!

Edit-I like this system,I think it will work alot better then having people !!!!RAGE!!!! at Customer Service over being FAPPED and also it will make Hughes money,because lets face it,with out the money aspect of it,they would not be in business and or provide better goods and services.And yes there will be room for improvements as is very noticeable with the usage monitor.
However they are addressing these issues.

Wow what a play on words, this could really mean whatever they want. "Download Allowance does not roll over into the next 24-hour period" even though it is based on a rolling 24 hours (yeah right) which leads me to believe that it only restores a % of the bucket and it's not a 100% reset if you buy a token.

While most firewalls prompt for blocking, some firewalls block access from executables to all local addresses (e.g. 192.x.x.x) without popup queries, so it happens silently, and you have to dig into innards of the firewall to create an exception or remove the block.

Second they would have to release their proprietary info "recovery", showing that you can actually use more than the DTL within a rolling 24 hours. Just saying that more people would recognize the extra bandwidth with a real time meter and use it which is something they dont want.

With a real time meter with numbers, they would have to change their bandwidth policies to limit the DTL to exactly the DTL within a rolling 24 hours. Which would mean even less bandwidth for us and a total overhaul on the NOC just for a real time meter that follows their current policies. Not only those problems but comms from the noc to the modem count for the DTL so that would have to be figured in. The meter would need to have direct contact with the NOC using even more of the DTL. My whole point is that whatever way you look at it the meter will still not be 100% accurate, if they even release one.

As I read it. Yes you would get your full allowance back. But you can't use a token to increase your allowance above what you are subscribed to. I must admit that is kinda confusing and they really ought to stop talking in terms of 24 hour FAP which simply does not exist. And it looks like the person that wrote that does not even understand the 24 hour period as explained by Hughes is supposed to be a rolling 24 hours.

In order to restore your allowance it would have to carry over or you would immediately go back into FAP.

Typical marketing people with out a clue.
There should be a thread started for anyone who has used any of these tokens. So we all can get a clue to what its all about.
