| Very High Speeds With Sprint
Anyone getting ridiculously high speeds from Sprint today. I am seeing 2 or 3 times what I normally get. Have they upgraded anything?
I am in Maryland about half way between Baltimore and Washington DC
Have Millenicom unlimited Sierra 597 modem on a Cradelpoint MBR1000. I tested on an HP laptop with win XP PRO and a Netgear N wireless card.
Can EVDO Rev A even go this fast? I hope the speed lasts I love it.

| I don't even think the EVDO Rev. A standard is rated to go that fast. WOW! I hope that's actually an accurate result and not just Speedtest acting funny or something.
It's really slow for me today. You're stealing my bandwidth (somehow)! -- Sprint MBB thru Millenicom Unlimited service - Franklin CDU-680 (with 32" omni) connected to a CTR-350; Linksys WRT160N running DD-WRT in repeater mode one room away from the Cradlepoint, to cover the house with 4 bars of N WiFi. |

| reply to nek Definitely something fishy with those numbers. As others have pointed out, EVDO maxes out at 3.1Mbps, and I don't think many users ever see that kind of speed. Your numbers are off the chart and who knows why? There's a thousand places things can go wrong on internet. -- Sierra 598U/Cradlepoint CTR500, grid antenna, Millenicom unlimited, 2 LinkSys WiFi a/p, 4 XPPro and 1 Ubuntu units, FireFox everywhere. |
