COD Modern Warefare 2 ................Who's buying?

Sounds like you want people to answer a certain way....but judging from the outcry for the dedicated servers on not only this but numerous other forums it appears that will be a major reason for PC players not to buy it.

I must admit, having the multiplayer component limited (as is the case with Operation Flashpoint 2) reduces the value of a game.

Although I am enjoying the SP of OF2, I think I've given enough of my money to companies that casually throw out a PC version of their console developed game.

Now if it ever makes it into the bargain bucket bin or in one of these popular online sales. Sure, why not?

I'm with everyone that hates the lack of support for dedicated servers and modding etc. But I just dont know how anyone can look past at a game as epic as this one. This really seems like it might be the game of the year.

To me, with all the new additions their adding it just over shadows the shortcomings of this game.

I take it all back as I was confused on the whole dedicated server issue. I knew nothing about the IWNET that will host games. I'm sorry and I will play this game.

One reason? Because from the looks of it, this should be the best FPS out for some time to come. I mean really, does the lack of DS for short, make this game any less fun? Besides the facts that playing on their end should essentially eliminate any cheating going on.

Also what about their support for matchmaking? Putting the great players against each other, and same for the noobs.

This is true, I hate that as well. But is $10 more really going to make or break someone?

I guess if you only play single player then this game probably isnt for you. To me, this game is ALL about multiplayer and yes I love the single player aspect as well but almost from day one I'm usually playing online.

Matchmaking for PC never really works, we all saw how L4D was when it first came out. Server list > *

In short, PC gamers hate when developers decide to consolize everything.

Ok, so which game would you think can take its place? Is there anything out there similar that supports ded servers?

For Multiplayer, Bad Company 2 has the best potential. They even mocked IW that they will have dedicated servers.

So I guess the real question is....how much commission is crytz making from pushing the game on this thread...lol.....
