| FIOS TV activation question
So I just moved and I have the same hardware setup that I did at my old place. I have my own router hooked into the ethernet on the ONT and the coax on the ont into the verizon box for guide updates and widgets. They turned up my internet this morning but my TV doesn't work. I have a guide if I go into the menu but every channel just says it's not available. I contacted support and they said they sent the signal down to activate my boxes but they still don't work. :-\
Any suggestions? |

| Sounds like your STBs aren't getting properly activated. It also sounds like you took your original STBs to your new residence and basically did a self-install? Normally, a tech comes on-site to do the install and tests everything (e.g. TV access, Internet speeds, etc) before leaving.
Either keep calling tech support and get them to do a hard reset for your STBs or try posting to »/forum/vzdirect. |

Guide data, VOD and widgets, are sent over your internet (WAN) connection. You need a MOCA LAN bridge between the LAN side of your router and the coax going to the STBs. You can use the VZ provided router as MOCA bridge. See this FAQ: »Verizon Online FiOS FAQ »Replacing the Actiontec (part 3): WAN-to-LAN keeps Guide and VOD (easier) |
