| [netopia] HELP ! Cayman 3546 DSL WAN users limited to one!
Last week our internet connectivity went down. I spoke with ATT tech support and they had me do a factory reset. After the factory reset I was able to get our small office network up. However the WAN user setting is defaulting to 1 of 1 instead of 'unlimited'. (This only allows 1 PC to connect to the internet at a time).
Att told me that there is no fix and the modem is old and needs to be replaced. This forum has provided some helpful information but after scouring the internet for days I've found a bunch of dead netopia links.
1. Does anyone know where I can get a hold of the software key (or any other solutions) that fixes this wan setting? (I'm running the latest firmware).
2. The funny thing is the next day the company adjacent to our office also had their ATT modem 'die' unexplainably. Can ATT do something remotely to render old modems dead in the water (forcing us to buy new equipment)? Double Secret death ping? |

as to ATTcausing it, no. more than likely you both had a power surge/drop that glitched them. put the router on a UPS or you may have it happen again. -- Lack of Preparation on YOUR Part does NOT Constitute an Emergency on Mine! |

| Good news I resolved it. I kept scouring and finally found a netopia/motorolasupport page with a BIN File download that resolves the issue. Here is the link if anyone else needs it. »www.netopia.com/licgen/license-1203628.bin |
