MTU settings in engenius

Has anyone played around with the MTU settings in any of the engenius CPE's?
Wondering if it should just be left on auto or changed to 1492 for PPPOE.
If it's left on auot is there a way to see what it is actually setting the MTU to?
Thanks
*edit- I searched the forum and found lots on MTU/MRU settings now I'm more confused than ever.
Our set-up is a MT router doing pppoe to an access point to the CPE on the customer end.
has anyone found optimal settings for the MT router MTU/MRU and then what the CPE should be set at?
Thanks again

If your CPE is connected to an AP and the AP is the PPPoE server, using 1492 would be the best.

The rules get all messed up depending on what you are doing, for example I tunnel my sessions, so the end result is an MTU of 1480.
