<description><![CDATA[mlerner posted : Re-read what you wrote and re-read my reply. You claim them to be puppets but if they were puppets, they would be following the Government to the letter. The WIND decision was no exception, if they were puppets they would have waited for Cabinet's decision before releasing their own decision. Where is the puppetry?<br><br>Show me in direct decisions handed down from the CRTC that they were indeed acting as puppets because I don't see it. <br><br>Their mandate also says they "ensure that both the broadcasting and telecommunications systems serve the Canadian public." Wind never did pass the foreign ownership test.<br><br>Basically what cabinet did was change Canadian foreign ownership laws on their own w/o parliament. This isn't allowed in Canada either. Laws are made only in parliament. This is why Public Mobile is headed to court.<br><br>While industry Canada can hand out spectrum, they don't control or hand out the license (which is the CRTC's job to hand out). <description><![CDATA[Omr posted : I think it is okay to respond and communicate using those emails because people didn't just stumble onto the Petition and think why not, they made a conscious decision and followed through.<br><br>Now there is a difference on when to mail and when it becomes spam. So long as it is on topic and is an update as to what is going on it is fine. But if things don't stay on point and you start pulling off topic agendas in an email then it is spam ... as you can see a fine line.<br><br>Now I think ultimately what you can do is send a final email claiming of reaching the goal of 10K about 3weeks ago, what comes next and communicate this is the final email on behalf of the petition. In that email remind us of the website to keep updated, and let us know of the mailing list we can opt in to get further emails.]]></description>
