Though check with your ISP some have their own speed test to measure with. But you're getting is fine.

tipstir : First what are you getting in speed download and upload from the ISP?

Next taking out your best and fastest laptop after 2am test with SPEEDTEST.NET and see what you get. Then measure that speed at 12pm and see what you get.

Remember speed test results vary with those servers you connect to. You should use Comcast speed tester and see what you really get from your wireless.

Cody : I'm currently using the 108mbps Netgear router mentioned above with WEP enabled (I mention because I'm not sure if security type would affect this somehow). My wired and wireless speeds through this differ drastically, and no matter what channel I'm on (1, 6, 11) it doesn't change much (108mbps is only enabled in channel 6). The speeds are somewhat consistant over the three computers in the house. All of the cards are Wireless G, so even at only half bandwidth, I would think I would come closer than 1/3 of the available throughput. :/
These are screenshots showing the difference, I'm open to any suggestions! Thank you in advance :)
I should also mention that I'm using a high gain antenna on one desktop, and even with full signal I get 8 or less mbps
--
Blame it on the C2H5OH
<TABLE WIDTH=95% align=center border=0 CELLPADDING=4">
