[HELP] Cisco 2621xm

I'm confused. I'm trying to max out my flash to 48MB of flash. Well the problem is I only have one bank for flash which has 32MB already, and I bought a 16MB of flash to max out my flash. I'm not sure what to do. Any ideas?

Also I want to run CME 4.1 on my router, but I only have 128MB of RAM and 32MB of flash can this be done? and support my 7960, 7940 IP phones?

There's 16MB soldered on the motherboard, are you sure it's a 32MB SIMM? Sounds like a 16 meg.

I guess that could actually make sense. Hopefully I can swap out this 16MB of ram.

You could do this to squeeze the CME image into that box. Erase the flash, load the CME image onto flash. Then start deleting the extra CME files like the GUI & all other phones other than the 7940/60. Once you have the bare bones CME load then push the IOS back in.

so I would need to erase my flash first then try and download the CME stuff on the router first then download my IOS onto the router?

Correct, I have done this on a couple of routers. Just make SURE you DON'T reboot the router before the IOS is back in the flash

So why would I leave the GUI off?

1) You don't have enough flash or ram to support ALL CME features.
2) You can configure all CME options/features from CLI, so the GUI can be an option you can sacrifice based on your routers limited resources
