Glad to hear it!

Come on roll some more out in heavily populated area's that already have how many different options for broadband? God forbid you use the technology to bring some decent internet out to the less populated area's where it's dial up, evdo or satellite.

I know, we country folk don't need dat darr fast internets.

2500MHz spectrum isn't terribly great for covering rural areas, though it'll cover places where line-bonded reach-extended DSL should but don't.

In all fairness, cheap fat bandwidth pipes are easier to come by where the cable networks already have a fair amount of fiber. I suspect that Clear has some deal where Comcast runs fiber to their towers in Comcast areas at a reduced price, in return for Clear offering a low wholesale internet rate for Comcast customers. Comcast wins because they can offer a more attractive fixed + mobile data option than Verizon or AT&T with those companies' 3G networks, and Clear wins because they aren't raped on bandwidth loop charges.

All that said, I wish that Clear WiMAX didn't operate off of Clear's backbone when rebranded as Cocmast. Maybe then the WiMAX service wouldn't be upload-capped (see Sprint-branded WiMAX). Me likey 15/5 over wireless.
