The Yankees spend 50-60 million more than any other team and they finally won the World Series after 10 years. If the Patriots and/or the Colts spent the same amount more than any other NFL team they could go undefeated every season. |

If some of the Phils bats got hot like Howard along with Utley (who had a incredible series) and we had some more performances like Lee gave us on the mound then the story would have been very different.
If anything it points out that you don't need to spend 200+ million to win it all. The Phillies spent almost 100 million less and achieved the same. And we'll be back to contend again next year for sure.
