For instance a business in my city has fibernet while the business next door has verizon. Verizon restored service to their business the day after a line was brought down by an overheight truck.<br>Next day they fixed service to the fibernet business. Reason for the lapse is that when business 2 dealt with the outage they called verizon directly. When business one dealt with it they had to call fibernet who then called verizon.<br><br>Not sure if this answers any questions just figured it might help some.]]></description>

Not sure why they would even be out in areas like that just yet. It seems like they would try all this in and around Charleston, and then head out into those areas? <description><![CDATA[dhudson1984 posted : Yeah, most likely no TV from Fibernet if they are in fact ready to roll out FTTH in selected areas. <br><br>If Verizon stays around, then yes. If not, maybe NTelos will decide to expand here and offer FTTH services like they do in parts of VA. <br><br>You would think you would here something about FTTH in and around Charleston first before you would like a smaller town like Dunbar if in fact that is what they're up to.<br><br>If our road is never going to get upgraded in the future, I'm going to try to get fiber to my home under contract with one of these companies.]]></description>

Most of them should hopefully be out by the end of the year as VZ is training from within right now. They're also hoping to get some to transfer here who got layed off in other VZ states. If they still need a few more after that, then they're going to be hiring and training new people from the outside. I'm suppose to be hearing something sometime this month..]]></description>
