Edimax Wireless Adapter

I'm actually building my own pc. It would be completed by December 2009. Since I need to go wireless on my desktop, I have some concerns on how to install it on my computer. I would place the computer below the computer table. If I install the edimax pci wireless adapter on my computer's pci slot. Would this give me any problems at all? First of all the computer would be located below the table. The router is just located on the next room and it's placed on a table. Would this give me problems with my wireless signal?
