That is what you have to pay for tethering now. $45 + $15 = $60. Looks like they want to keep that same price point. I don't understand why they insist on charging more for the same data usage. If I can use 5GB on my phone, or 5GB between my phone and tethering, why do they care?

They are also charging $45 for the data plan rather than $30 if you are an Activesync user, so I wonder if they will now be penalized $15 more than you currently have to pay to tether? $75 instead of $60?
Actually:

The extra 15 bucks is for business customers who are already paying that in the first place.
Paying it in the first place? I'm not quite sure I understand that? My friend (and I did as well) has a Verizon phone in his name, a personal phone, and is being charges $45 for data. When he asked if he could reduce to the $30 a month plan, they said no because he accesses an Exchange server.
