| iphone, world's worst phone?
Total BS but they seem to think so. The only thing I might give a small amount of credit is that the outgoing speaker can be louder for me.

That's a pretty accurate assessment from my experience. |

| reply to obeythelaw I dunno know, used the best Nokia and Treos and the phone part of the iPhone seems fine to me. In fact call quality is generally better than my landline. Maybe the local AT&T network is better in these parts, or we have shitty landline, or I have low standards. |

Although I find myself dreading when I have to use mine more and more often. The on-screen keyboard and terribly slow performance (which I understand has been rectified in the 3GS) has become a big turnoff for me.
I'm very interested to see the Droid. It claims to support everything I need but is a qwerty slider that isn't 8 inches thick. -- trafficcloak.com - pptp/sstp vpn services |

at&t is awesome here. Verizon Wireless works like shit.

| reply to obeythelaw AT&T + Spotty Coverage + iPhone = No so good phone? C'mon man! I tend to lean more towards AT&T as the culprit. As others have pointed out, the phone itself is not always the problem. No matter who the carrier is... some locations flat out suck. Everyone I know in this area with AT&T, regardless of what phone they have, drop calls like crazy. Like 4 times in a conversation? Really? In San Diego? Come on AT&T! Verizon works excellent in this area. I never drop calls. Everyone I know says they are praying for the day Verizon gets the iPhone... which may never happen... -- Computer: Mac Pro - Dual 2.66Ghz dual-core Xeon, 2GB RAM, 750GB internal & 400GB external storage, two Superdrives, & Radeon X1900XT GPU running two Dell 2007wfp 20.1" LCDs
