1 edit | [ARIZONA] Red light & speed cameras
Do they always flash on the Mesa ones? I am most worried about these ones because the light turned yellow at an intersection, and I had two decisions
a. Slam on the brakes really hard to stop, and risk the guy behind me rear ending me.
b. Speed up before the yellow turns red.
I chose option B, but I am not sure if the yellow was shortened, and could have been red, etc. There was no flash, but there was a camera at this intersection. If there was no flash, that means the camera didn't activate right?
I really hope so, these red light cameras are theft especially because they shorten the yellow light! |

Also, I had to speed up to make the yellow, so I was wondering, though I may not have gotten caught for red light running, the cameras double as speed cameras, and could have gotten me for speeding. That is why I wonder about the flash. -- Joshua| About Me |

| I think they have several generations of cameras in service. It is difficult to tell which one you have at that intersection unless you go and park and watch and see if it does strobe when somebody goes through. -- Hit Hard Or Stay Home!

You would think shortening yellow lights would be illegal and against the MUTCD |
