D-Link DAP-1522 PS3 Setup

Hey, guys.

Networking noob here.

I have a D-link g router, WBR-1310. Works great, had it for several years. It talks wirelessly to my PS3. I use Play Station Media Server, as well, but I get stuttering on some of my 720p streams when they get above 15Mbps.

If I purchase a DAP-1522 and hook it up via ethernet to my PS3, will I get an improvement even though my original router connected to my cable modem is a g model? Or do I need to swap out my original router for a new n router?

clubs:		 no because wireless signal will still be g . videos stream well with my dap 1522 hooked up to n router on 5ghz band
