|  [Rant] Walmart Phone Customer Department Sucks!!
Walmart phone customer service really sucks!!
I mean they suck big time!!
I just called them four times for the past couple of minutes.. first call got disconnected with their operator. ok fine, they might be having some routing issue so i tried my 2nd attempt. I got with their operator. ok, cool, i said i need to talk with their computer department so she transferred me over . my 2nd attempt was put to an end when i got their voice mail. no one even bothers to answer the damn phone. ok well, so i tried it for the third time, i got someone from computer department, i ask if they have a NIC. ok cool, so they have one. I ask how much it was and that lady just dropped the phone.. ok last try before they hit the mark.. i called them up again using their local number.. damn it.. just a busy dial tone..
company being run by a couple of jerks..

its the electronics department, and their all too busy talking and crap instead of doin their jobs.
bought a pcmcia wireless card last year from them, had that stupid spider thing on it. stood at the checkout back there for 5 minutes, said screwd it and checkd out upfront, cashier goes "oh you have to buy this in back to get the spider off" i said no, i dont, i waited 5 minutes while they stood their talkin instead of doin their jobs, YOU take it back their and take it off.
just pay the shipping for newegg. hell you can probably find a nic with free shipping if it can wait a few days. |

I didn't know Walmart employees picked up the phones.
I was at one store 2 years ago to buy something and they didn't have it so the saleslady told me to hang on and she would call the other store across town, no one picked up.

He needed it badly so we can setup his home network and i needed to pick up my kid before 2 o clock today. they pulled that shit with me and i cut it off with my knife right there[i'm NOT going to stand in customer service line for 30 minutes to get an anti-theft device off a product i've already paid for]

gee...Walmart employees always answer the phone here. Plus, calling customer service in Arkansas is outstanding. I called several times recently about a product that was suddenly discontinued and I can't find it anywhere else. I got good followups on their investigation and the local store asst. manager called me moments after my last call to customer service in Arkansas. She says the product will be available again but maybe only in certain Walmarts including ours since I asked.
We just got the FIRST total store make over (only one other in this state is getting the makeover soon) in Hawaii based on customer feedback. The store looks GREAT! You wouldn't know it was a Walmart. It is a pleasure to shop there now. I buy computer equipment there as there is only Office Max as the other choice and they are twice as expensive for the same item. I have never encountered a surly employee. I like Walmart and now with this wonderful new makeover I REALLY like Walmart. I read there will only be a very few makeovers this year throughout the nation. Our store was one of the first in the nation for the makeover. All stores will be made over sometime in the next five years. Lucky us that we were among the very first.

Why is it so bad to buy name brand computer componets from Walmart?
Does Dell and Acer and HP send them all their crap products?
I do see a few items from unknown companies there, most are not.
Oh I know You rather spend and extra $10 to $25 in a different store just to say you didn't buy it from walmart.
Everyone hates Microsoft but yet everyone (except the few apple people) has windows on their computer.

A major outdoor sporting/camping products manufacturer does... they have a "WalMart" product line that gets ZIP customer service/support, 'cause it's made to the lowest possible standards. Our scout troop made the mistake of buying these tents at WalMart, and when they literally fell apart after two camping trips, they tried to get the company to make it right. The Company apologized, said they'd help out the scouts and replaced the gear, but warned them not to buy at WalMart again if they're looking for durability.
I obfuscated the manufacturer's name since I don't want to unnecessarily screw them over after they helped the troop out.
