*Edit* Oops, I check their lineup available for Halifax and it sucks. I guess you will have to get Bell TV or Shaw Direct if you want those channels.
Score and Raptors are only available in SD not in HD. |

| reply to markj For DSL services I don't think there is a DSL equivalent here unless you want to consider *coughs* Bell-Aliant DSL.
If you end up with a modem on a good connection, the 15/1 megabit plan is quite nice. Eastlink just started implementing DNS hijacking so you might want to use their old dns's to get around that.
Sadly for TV services after getting rid of BellTV, I find what you get in TV services on Eastlink is kind of lame at best. Most of the channels from 1-80 are analog all the way and not what I would consider very clear. |

1 edit | i may have to go with bell...except ill have to deal with their modem rental charge, throttle, low caps, etc
what are the caps/etc on eastlink? they dont seem to be listed...
i noticed their tv (not satellite) has the tsn2 hd and score hd available but just not the raptors hd... |

| Bell Aliant is like the good half of a set of good/evil twins. Their TV service is decent, although I'm not sure if the channel lineup has improved since I last used it 18 months ago, but it does have Score and TSN1/2. My friend pays about $80/month for TV with PVR and internet. It is also throttle and cap free.
I'm specifically talking about the TV over the phoneline thing. They offer HD I think, but the dude's TV is still tube, so I don't think he's got that. |

| reply to acrufox Ref: Eastlink! What do you mean DNS hijacking? I was planning to use to OPEN DNS, does that mean I won't be able to use that service anymore?? Also I have heard that they are upgrading to the DOCSIC 3 standard and will be upping their speeds soon. (no timeframe however). |
