PDX Outage

Service was out about 10 hours in my location. First time it has been that long.

Weird, my friend was out all day too, and so was a co-worker. The friend connects at the same location, and I didn't have hardly any issue. It has been disconnecting frequently though..

I hope they're doing something to decrease latency.

I stopped by the CLEAR kiosk at the Lloyd Center about 4:30 pm. One of the reps working said other carriers (Sprint and Comcast) were out as well.

I was only out apox 2 hours. Unplugging both ethernet & power to modem got me back on. Unplugging power alone didn't work to reset the modem.

Sprint & Comcast WiMax both run on Clear wires network so no surprise there.

Re: PDX Outage - LAS Also

Looks like it was a national outage then. Las Vegas was also out all day.

There was a brief article in the Oregonian about a software glitch causing the problem.
