| [WA] Gun ownership xfer
Hello Everyone,
Does anybody know of the legal way to being able to xfer gun ownership to someone else?
I purchased a hand gun a while back thru a gun dealership & don't use it anymore, so I wanted to xfer the ownership to my brother but the only thing i can find is something about creating some form that says " on this day, gun model... serial... is being xferd from this person to that person. |

In WA there is no legal requirement to register any transfer of a gun between private parties.
That form is voluntary, which I would always file, just as you are.
RCW 9.41.080, »apps.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx···9.41.080 should always be followed. |

It's definately worth filing the form, that way should the gun later be used in a crime, the SWAT team won't be pounding on your door.  |
