[WIN7] Acronis Disk Director - New NTFS > Windows 7 = problems

There is an issue with certain versions of Acronis Disk Director creating new partitions formatted as NTFS, and then using that partition to install Windows 7 and Vista. You will receive errors about disk corruption, and attempts to write to the disk will fail.

Using the newest available version of Acronis Disk Director, or formatting the Acronis created partition with Windows' built-in formatting tools, before installing Windows 7, is reported to resolve this issue.

This problem is reported to be resolved in newer versions of Disk Director, but unfortunately I was using one of the problem versions. It was 10, but I don't remember the exact build, and I uninstalled it during my frustration.

This issue has been around since Vista, but I thought I'd throw it out there due to all the Windows 7 installations happening nowadays.
