When ever I first login and go to "my posts" there is a notice in the upper left hand side of the screen in parenthesis that says (checking disabled). I don't think it is referring to my bank checking account (at least I hope not)  . It goes away as soon as I click on something. What is this and is it important? It does not seem to do anything that I can see. |

| That's your IM checker. When you have asynchronous IMs enabled it checks periodically for you without having to do a page reload for checking. I get that if I leave the site up for some time without refreshing.
