 [Wireless] WRT160N & G Laptop card won't connect

I have a laptop with a G network card. My network security on router is disabled, but laptop connection is still showing connection as secured (WPA2). Laptop is not refreshing to unsecured, even on reboot.
When I set router to secured, laptop still will not connect, even with correct password.

join:2005-11-10		 Is your SSID set to something unique and tried a different wireless channel? may be picking up a similarly named SSID or experiencing channel interference.
