| [General] underground conduit coupler help
I have underground conduit similar, if not identical, to that I see being installed in areas by Verizon. There was some damage and I need to couple in a new length. Anyone know if that's difficult to do? Where I can get the part? And approximate cost? |

Size Type: metal or plastic Empty or full Were cables damaged, if so what type.
Assuming this is empty plastic Schedule 40 conduit. Once damaged section is exposed repair is not difficult. Cut out old section and use repair couplings. Repair couplings do not have inner stop so they can be slid over pipe and then moved into position. If you cannot find repair couplings can modify regular ones by removing interior stop with an Exacto knife. |

@verizon.net | reply to plshelpmeout Sorry for lack of better details. Plastic conduit (schedule unknown), 1 and 1/2 inch diameter, conduit is empty at this time - no wires. Where could I get the coupling? |

Where could I get the coupling? Same place you purchase replacement conduit, either electrical supply or box box home center.

If it's a stable area, fernco type couplings work well... Seal over it with rubber, then vinyl tape - been used MANY times before...
