if you press the c button the io short cuts now has a new search feature the allows you to easily type in the name of a program to do a search. |

| reply to hbk4099 I don't know why this wouldn't be accessible from the IPG ...
It is clunky-ish ... but finally something useful and progress in a positive direction.
It does what it's supposed to, I guess, but so far there are a few wishlist items for the new search feature that I have.
1. Make it accessible from the Guide (still have to fix the guide button and make it go to the guide) 2. Have a full-screen option with collapsible menus 3. Include stuff you have on your DVR in the search 4. Have the option to have a full keyboard instead of the number pad typing 5. Not very speedy
All I can think of now.
Good things though: 1. OnDemand titles included in search 2. Ability to save searches 3. typing in actor(ess) name brings up stuff they are in 4. Recording from search function 5. ability to tune/play directly from the search screen 6. ability to preview VOD from screen and it goes back to whatever channel you had on (no need to tune to 500)
All I can think of now.
I know I give them a lot of junk, but I am so happy to say I am happy with something CV has done. |

Obviously it could always be better though. |
