<description><![CDATA[NY Tel posted : Well in 1990, the wallpaper was "in" and it was a welcome change from what was there before with the previous owners.<br><br>There were holes in the wall everywhere and they covered them up with contact paper.<br><br>Go figure.<br><br>Will probably do a Wainscot halfway up the wall and paint the top part a nice neutral color. ]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[NY Tel posted : OK I decided this was way to close quarters for me to screw around with so I called a Plumber who cut a bigger hole in the soon-to-be removed wallpaper.<br><br>The pipe bends right above the ceiling and if we had wanted to replace the entire thing would have meant removing the ceiling etc.<br>So for $100 bucks he fixed it. Needed to go under addition with pipe (in sandy soil). Couldn't dig under (it would undermine existing foundation). <br><br>Decided to pass copper pipe through an aluminum tube under the existing footer to the basement.  Worked out OK but always wondered how this affected it long term since copper and aluminum are far apart on "galvanic table". Often wondered whether copper migrated to the aluminum and compromised integrity of copper line at some later date (30-40 years down the road)!<br><br>Paul]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[NY Tel posted : Had a pinhole develop in a pipe in my downstairs bathroom.<br>I really had not planned on re-doing the walls but I know I'll never match the wallpaper as it has been up since 1990.<br>Shame a picture hung over the hole would not look out of place since the hole is an inch below the ceiling height.<br><br>I taped it for now and will repair it Tomorrow.
